From the last spark storming
In the void of the last morning
From the last lifelight dying
Rose the first Starbird singing
Its Forevervoice bringing
Infinity Reborn Flying

Gilbert Williams is awesome. I had a friend in high school who turned me on to the Shirley Maclaine movie that he (or an actor playing him) was in. Then the same friend gave me one of his art books. This was back before I had ever even heard of Wicca or anything else. Viewing the stuff in that book created A Disturbance in the Forceā„¢ for me, I must say.

Recently, I saw a couple of icons folks had made from his stuff which reminded me he exists again, and so I went of and made some of my own, crediting him of course. His artwork just seems to "fit" right now.

Same here. I first encountered him around 1992 (and since then collected a bunch of his calendars and prints). His artwork inspired me to write a series of short poems (the Starbird poem was one of that series). I always associated his artwork with home.. The one in your icon, as well as http://www.rialian.com/Gilbert-Williams/resurrection.jpg and http://www.rialian.com/Gilbert-Williams/MoonTemple.jpg are some of my favorites..
