Wilma says to NOAA satellite, "What are *you* looking at??!"

The two dots in the center of this infra-red photo of Hurricane Wilma look like eyes - it looks to me like someone looking up and reaching outward...

Ouch. I saw ... an angry entity in the midst of the storm. *shudder*

Interesting...(I'd not be shocked, but then again I tend to see storms as having their own lives and souls anyways)

While storms CAN be horribly destructive things, they do have a real life of their own, you can see them grow, breathe, die...each seems to have a personality. Not necessarily pretty in the traditional sense but still with a bit of a dark beauty (in the same way that tornados are destructive but also awe-inspiring and occasionally beautiful).

As it is, Wilma is a BUFF lil' 'cane (to the point it's actually kind of scary to think about) and quite the fighter. Her eye is easily the tiniest I've EVER seen (only 2 to 4 miles wide--which on the small end is the size of a big tornado) and in less than 24 hours she went from a minimal tropical storm to the strongest hurricane EVER recorded in the Atlantic (and only 14 millibars away from being the strongest tropical system (hurricane/typhoon/tropical cyclone) EVER, ANYWHERE--and only about a tenth of the size of Supertyphoon Tip, the strongest storm ever recorded).

I'd be shocked if she WASN'T pissed off, to be honest.

That's been my opinion for a while as well. With that amount of concentrated energy in one place, and orginised at that, it would make perfect sence that they would have some sort of consciousness - just not one we could easily "talk" to. If another thing they are is manifestations of the awakening planet's... irritation... Well, it's about time.

Whoa, yeah, it does and above the dots it kind of looks like hair flowing behind the face.

And that brown and beige thing on the right side of the photo looks like a HUGE GIANT staring down at Wilma.
