The Elf and the Tree...

Technically, most oxygen comes from algae (or so they say). I'm sure some of it comes from trees. So exercising a little poetic license, and inspired by the aforementioned photograph...
An Elf I spied among the trees
His hair so long and flowing
(and it was rather hard to miss
his blue-jeaned tuchas glowing)...
His arms were wrapped around a tree
(The tree was not objecting)
And Tree with Elf in sweetest bliss,
Appeared to be connecting...
"What are you doing with that Tree?
I wish you would enlighten...
But do not stop because of me
I do not mean to frighten!"
"All of the air we breathe, he said,
Is made by such as these...
I love them as I love my life,
And so I thank the Trees!"
An Elf I spied among the trees
His hair so long and flowing
(and it was rather hard to miss
his blue-jeaned tuchas glowing)...
His arms were wrapped around a tree
(The tree was not objecting)
And Tree with Elf in sweetest bliss,
Appeared to be connecting...
"What are you doing with that Tree?
I wish you would enlighten...
But do not stop because of me
I do not mean to frighten!"
"All of the air we breathe, he said,
Is made by such as these...
I love them as I love my life,
And so I thank the Trees!"
