Today is a beautiful, sunny day and I shall spend most of it away from this computer, probably out in the dirt transferring rocks from the garden to the gravel driveway. That's always a great excuse to scratch around in the dirt. We're also going to go into town to look for an old Wooden Box around the size of sheet music. When I return the sheet music to the person who gave me the piano, I want to put it in a beautiful old wooden box where she can keep it kind of like a family history. Sheet music was only a small part of it. There were letters from her friend when she was 7, notes from her piano teacher... many things I thought should be with her rather than with me. Anyway, off to find a Wooden Box.

Edit -- The "Track This" and "Next Entry" buttons displayed at the bottom of the Negatives style are overwriting the row of buttons above them. My laptop screen is small, so maybe the line of buttons is automatically wrapping to the next line on my screen. On a larger screen it might be displayed on one line only. This would explain why I'm seeing this, whereas someone else may not.

I'll have to check it on the larger screen a few days from now when one is available.

That box is a lovely idea!

I believe the styles team is currently hard at work on the system, and as they work some things will break temporarily. It should be better by open Beta.

We found the box! It's made of dark wood, and is about the size and shape of the bottom drawer of desk. It has a hinged lid.

The note about the style was more of a note-to-self than anything else - I know everyone's been working on Core2. When everything else is done then there will be time to look at such things. At that time (when people are working on cosmetic glitches) I'll go back to my notes, see if they've been fixed, and if not compile a list of whatever I've found from now till then.

So I put all my LJ interests into my OpenID page here and decided to follow a few of the links. To my amusement, when I checked to see who else listed "old trees" as an interest, I discovered that I already knew all of you (and you and Rialian are both doubled! eek!).

Yes, we both had openID accounts before we got invite codes by way of rainbow. At some point I will delete the OpenID account, when I get a round tuit. Unfortunately, I have already expended my invite code, but in the event that we get more, I'll let you know. illuviel.livejournal.com and thewronghands.livejournal.com also have accounts here.

It was a beautiful day out. There also so happened to be a wine tasting festival in Berkeley Springs, so we availed ourselves of the opportunity and sampled several wines. We found a piano book and some sheet music for me, and a seed catalog and a harmonica book for Rialian.

Well, a lot of OpenID profiles are created automatically when someone imports their LJ comments and all over here to DW. I thought it was odd that my OpenID account had posted 495 comments before I ever used it, but it makes sense after all.

I wasn't amused so much by your and Rialian's twinning as I was by the fact that nobody else on the whole site has this interest yet. :-)

Seems like the link didn't work, but it might in the future. They're still working on Core2 (the basic style that will be the foundation of all the other styles).

I hadn't realized that when I imported my entries and comments that I actually created an OpenID for each person on my friends list. That's kind of nifty. Did you receive an email notification when this happened?

We Old Tree aficionados are a rare breed. I should change my helen99.livejournal.com default icon so it matches the default on helen99. That way it will be more symmetric. Then when you get a full account there can be two of you too. It will all work out in the end...
