The two swords look and are sharp!

And she is a good sword-dancer. :)

It invoked memory, although the clothing and weapons were different.

I totally wish I had the physical coordination and upper body strength to learn this. We were just starting sword dancing in T'ai Chi when we quit (in 2001).

Amazingly enough, I'm off tonight to play D&D.
New campaign where I'm playing a dual wielding ranger.
Hehe...don't think she'll be wearing an elegant dress, however.
(Leather armor is more like it.)
Thanks for the inspiration.

Heh... trekking through rough terrain would be severely hampered by a long flowing skirt (though it could be useful for hiding valuable small objects if pockets were sewn on the inside of it). I'm surprised she was able to execute some of her moves with the garb she was wearing, although the effect of the billowing skirt was beautiful.

Larping as a ranger I agree! Stuff thats easy to move in, natural colours....

Having said that, the sword dancer in the video is in an enviroment where she doesnt have to consider brambles and branches and marauding orcs, hehe.
I imagine it just takes getting used to, like doing high grade Aikido or Iaido wearing a hakama does.

Yes - I did expect her to build up to something faster (at top speeds one can hardly see the sword...)

At top speed, the sound is unmistakable though. ;) "whing!"
