Yay!! Springtime with Xipe Totec:

But it doesn't look like he's wearing the "new skin" of spring :-(

Maybe you'd have to get different legos for that...
He's very cute though (I liked him the best among the lego aztec gods. Mitlanticutli (sp?) was rather scary...

It's probably easiest to do it as a paint job (like the necklace was done), except perhaps with a thick, texturey paint.

Xipe Totec is very cute, he's probably my favorite Aztec gods, he's all sweetness and light and growth and rebirth and flaying people and wearing their skin!

There's something about warmer climates that makes people a little wild and crazy, I've noticed. Colder climates too, as evidenced by traditional Finnish folk songs, only in a different way.. While greater proximity to the Equator seems to promote flaying and wearing of skins and mutilation of various body parts, greater proximity to the Arctic Circle seems to promote burning at stake, tossing in bog, hanging etc. Both types seem to relish poisons, though.

Eh. People are just crazy. Poison frogs are pretty, though.
