You'd probably like her. Here's something she once said:
"A medicine man shouldn't be a saint. He should experience and feel all the ups and downs, the despair and joy, the magic and the reality, the courage and the fear, of his people. He should be able to sink as low as a bug, or soar as high as an eagle. Unless he can experience both, he is no good as a medicine man." ..... John Fire Lame Deer, Lakota Medicine Man
When Ken Page emailed me this quote from my dear, late friend John Fire Lame Deer, it really cheered me up. There must be many of us who are qualifying to be true medicine people. We are definitely experiencing the ups and downs of life, although it may have been awhile since we have soared as high as an eagle. The times continue to be quite interesting.....
Here in the Land of Democracy we just had a coup d'etat, oops, I mean a "presidential election". It was pretty amazing to watch it unfold. There were few subtleties about the process and the deception was pretty obvious, yet many people failed to see what was truly happening.
At least, it lifts the veil from the illusion that our voting process serves the true will of the people. One Person, One Vote is another outdated concept that has been stripped away from us.
The stripping process continues for the awakened ones....."
