Merlin and Nimue

I liked this rendition of Merlin and Nimue a lot for some reason.
Maybe it's Merlin's come-hither, Baryshnikov-like presentation or his oddly obsessed expression, or maybe it's Nimue's thin, studious, non-obvious allure. I don't know - but I like it.

The pre-raphaelites were great at bringing forth the lushness and the romance attached to the legends. I've got a book of JW Waterhouse's work that I page through for inspiration now and again :) (Of course, I've got a shelf full of artistic books of varying kinds..)
