It was an ex-zombie

Today the contractor brought an assistant with him to help him with tiling... I guess that means that maybe by tonight I'll see some tiles on the floor, maybe even the walls. Having become extremely bored with the whole process I just accepted the first (on-hand and therefore cheapest) tiles he brought by - the floor will be tiled with small tiles in the pattern of a beehive, and the walls in plain off-white tiles. Nothing too interesting, but I don't really care about having an interesting bathroom as long it Smells Good and won't fall apart in a flurry of disintigrating zombie pieces for at least the next 300 years.

The ants are all gone - I guess they had been reanimating the bathroom, and realized their work here is done...

YAY!

Beehive patterns are always good...

It's the approximate color of a beehive too - kind of a mottled, stony beige. Weird little tiles, but I agree that beehives are good. I think it will look ok once there are some accents in the room.. colorful bath and face towels, a shower curtain with little cthulhus imprinted on it, fresh paint on the walls and ceiling, an interesting little cup and soap dish, some nice coconut soap, etc...

Ooo. I missed this when you posted it.

If you find a cthulu shower curtain, let me know where, because that is a must purchase item!

Musing.. I think I know what to get you for Yule. If I can find it, that is. (no, it's not a shower curtain.)

Wellp, we finally have a working bathtub, shower, and toilet (no sink, medicine cabinet, light, or vent cover yet though). There's still a huge box in the living room containing the sink and a huge pile of stuff in middle of the kitchen floor. I like my contractor/handyman a lot, but I think that in order to stay in business he has to accept a lot of jobs and pretend that each one is the only one he's doing and then try to juggle them. Apparently his father in law died and they have to put their house on the market, so a bunch of them are now working on that while I sort of wait around for each little step (I'm always glad when I actually see progress rather than day after day with nothing done)... At least the bathroom is now useable by the open study group (and if they clog up the toilet they will all DIEDIEDIEDIE!!) (oops, I'm back now)... I think I'll go get a shower curtain and rod today so we can actually use the shower tomorrow morning.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so glad for you! This must be a lessening of a source of anxiety... I know it would be for me.

And I am so laughing about the clogging thing... hopefully no one had to be sacrificed to the Zombie Gods.
