The weather

Whose great idea was it to have 100+ degree weather in April? This is supposed to be Spring. That means, like, 70-75 degree weather, 80-85 at the hottest. The weather prediction even said 85. The thermometer, however, is reading 100 in the sun, 97 in the shade. I had some hope that maybe things were improving when we had some actual snow this winter, but now I'm not so sure. If this is April, I'm not sure I want to be south of British Columbia in August.

Our house is staying cool w/o A/C, though. We opened the glass doors and turned on all the ceiling fans, so there's this nice breeze. We turned off all the lights and closed the shades on the sunny side. It's about 75-80 indoors.

Mmm, huzzah for a house that stays cool. We're doing well here, mostly, though the second floor is significantly hotter than the first - and the first floor housemate has a TV. Which is on. So we're upstairs.

*grins*

At least it's survivable.

Here, have ours. It's been low 60s at best in daytime and mid-40s at night, far too cold for late April.

(Of course, that followed this time last week when it was indeed up in the 80s...)
