If you have DSL, you have to call and insist on the up/down bandwidth you are supposed to have. The company we use assumes you are a low end user unless you make a phone call to get your full bandwidth. And yes, I asked, it has to be a phone call it is not automatic. So... check to make sure you are actually getting the bandwidth you are paying for.
