It was the blizzard of 2003

I think this blizzard wins the prize. The blizzard of '79 was close, but I don't think it topped this.

I heard about the snow on the Today show this morning. I hope you and Rialian are doing ok. Toss my area some of that snow. Maybe we could get enough to get me a day off for once. *chuckles*

Everything's ok - a couple of window frames began leaking - I think the ice melting slowly in the frozen gutters formed rivulets that seeped back under the eaves toward the house instead of going down the downspout (which was full of ice) or falling off the side. It was melting slowly enough that it could do that due to surface tension, I guess. I taped pitchers to the window where the leak was and siphoned the pitchers into a large bucket which I bailed periodically. Very scientific procedure...
