Whenever my cat Sunshine would pass by my new computer, it would shut itself down. At first I thought this was just a coincidence, but Every Time the computer mysteriously shut itself off, there he was, just going by. None of the other cats had that effect. Finally the data just couldn't be ignored any more. It had to be him causing the outages.

Since Sunshine never did that to my older computer, I figured that the case or board or something wasn't properly grounded and Sunshine being a fluffy, electrically charged, incandescent cat, generated enough static charge to crash it. Rather than face the prospect of a sun-fried motherboard, Rialian took the entire innards and put them all in another case. It seems to have worked, as Sunshine has passed it by several times with no incident.

Cats and computers operate cross-dimensionally. It helps to remember that.

Heh.

I think the cross-dimensionally sparking cat problem has been averted for now - not that the cat ever thought it was a problem - he thought I spent too much time at the computer and not enough time as a proper cat surface...
