We are lucky enough to still have many cats, either with us, or with various friends, from several points in time, and it IS so much harder, I think...we havent had any pass yet...but, because we have so many much younger cats, we have had to give them to friends, for safety's sake. (We have one such, who is at least 20 years old, she is blind now, but where she is at, the younger cats seem more in awe of her than anything else lol. Unfortunately, MY cats are more evil than theirs, and one of them, just wouldnt stop messing with her.)
I dread the day when our elder kitties (not quite as old as Pia) begin their Journeys...it really is a connection to earlier, shinier days...
