This travesty was the result of
1) Rialian upgrading my linux box so it now includes a DVD burner/CD RW/player that actually works without a problem in Linux and
2) Observing some sys admin super geeks at the club last night, pretending to be studly goths.
So ok, maybe they *were* studly goths, but I didn't get close enough to Check. This morning I was trying to describe them and said something like, "They were all dressed like mysterious hardcores, but they were obviously supergeeks". Then my mind did a horrible, horrible jump to Rick James' Superfreak (http://lyrical.nl/song/7261).
