Colour Out of Space

Colour Out of Space

The events described in the above link occurred in Brighton, UK, so I probably won't go to the next one, but if you happen to be located near there and are interested in that sort of thing...

"Welcome to the second Brighton festival of exploratory sound - three days of sound poets, feral choirs, avant-noise collagists, ecstatic free-jazz, folk-primitives, home-spun electronics, free-yodelers and more. Colour out of Space brings together some of the boldest current innovators in experimental sound with a host of pioneering presences from its last forty years. This year's festival is all under one roof (and garden too - weather permitting) - the newly refurbished Sallis Benney Theatre."

Caera

At the Spoutwood Faerie Festival, one of the musicians in particular stood out from the rest. She was Caera, a Celtic harpist. Well, so ok, an elven harpist. Several of her CDs that are available from CD Baby.

Aussie Gathering 2004

An Aussie gather - in January 2004 (early summertime, if I'm not mistaken). Reasons for visiting Australia seem to be proliferating at a rapid rate...

Thanking everyone for the great gathering

Thanks to everyone who made the gathering what it was. I was left with more food than I started with. The place was left cleaner than it was before the gathering. All the dishes were mysteriously washed. [livejournal.com profile] dhermit helped shovel the cars out of the great snowy goodness (TM). Everyone made it home alive (I had expected everyone to cancel but they didn't). What's not to love...
