Received in email this morning (11th Annual Environmental summit of Maryland).

Helen, help us make the environment a priority in Maryland--join us for the 11th Annual Environmental Summit! Speakers will include key legislators, administration officials, conservation leaders, and citizen and community activists.

When: Monday January 17, 2005, from 2:00 - 4:30pm (registration begins at 1:30pm)

Where: Thomas V. Mike Miller, Jr. Senate Building
President’s Conference Center, 1st Floor East
11 Bladen Street, Annapolis, MD 21401

The 2005 Maryland General Assembly begins on January 12, and some hot topics this year will include land preservation programs, air pollution from power plants, cleaner cars, and fair funding for transportation.

Join with other concerned citizens to learn how you can get involved and make a difference for the environment. Let’s make sure our voices are heard loud and clear!

The 11th Environmental Legislative Summit is made possible by the generous support of The Abell Foundation and The Campbell Foundation. The Summit is sponsored by the Citizens’ Campaign for the Environment, a network of Maryland conservation organizations working together to restore and protect our air and water quality, our open spaces, and our natural resources.
