Silly fill-in widget

1. Magazines subscribed to - None. Others in the household subscribe, but not me - I don't like excess stacks of paper.

2. Aside from reading, my favorite pastimes are - At the moment, refinishing furniture and laying bricks. Also, workout routines, working in the yard - anything repetitive and relaxing that produces a pretty result.

3. If I were not a technical writer, I would probably be a physical therapist. Alternatively, a massage therapist, but I like the professional barrier that the title "Physical Therapist" imparts.

4. I am irrationally worried about - doom and destruction.

5. If I were the opposite sex - I'd probably have gotten drafted and sent to Viet Nam and killed. If I managed to escape that, I would have been under pressure to get good grades so I could have a student deferment from the draft. While in college, maybe I would have become an activist and gotten killed like the Ohio Nine did. If I wasn't dead, my dad would have had my hide. I would have been the archetypal hippie dude and married some hippie chick I'd met in school or at a party. Hopefully it would have worked out but who knows. Maybe there would have been kids. I would have been conscientious about getting a good job so I could put them through college. Hopefully they would have graduated and be working around here (or somewhere). Maybe they'd be writing this instead of me.

6. The thing I miss most about childhood is - living near the ocean.

7. I like to collect - music, books

8. Though I’ve never been there, I feel inexplicably homesick for - New Zealand.

9. I’ve never really liked to eat - Conch. Just never could get past the texture, even when it's 'done right'.

10. When I have nightmares, they’re usually about - Haven't had any for a long time. When I used to have them they would be about something going terribly wrong in a relatively ordinary situation. For example, I'd be at a mall, and suddenly a nasty little gnome would chase me into a behind-the-scenes area where all the glitz would dissolve and I'd see what was really there -- a dilapidated mess. There, the gnome would threateningly chase me into a corner. Then I'd wake up. It never occurred to me to turn and fight - I wonder what would have happened if I did.
