Burnt Pedestrians

We were tootling about Winchester, VA (near VA/WV border) when we saw a sign for "Burnt Presbyterian Church". This would have been kind of odd on its own (conjuring images of a toasted congregation), but for a moment I was sure I saw "Burnt Pedestrian Church". As we passed it rather quickly, I said, "Wait, what did that sign say?? Burnt Pedestrian Church??" I wish I had a camera that could take pictures of what I sometimes think I see.
