Wow, November must have been a busy month

Must have been that pre-holiday cheer and stuff...

Happy 9 months after December November birthdays

Edit - and as fatherdog has pointed out, I can't count...

Happy Birthday! (UHH!) Happy Birthday! (UHH!)
Death and gloom and black despair
People dying everywhere
Happy Birthday! (UHH!) Happy Birthday! (UHH!)

Now you are the age you are
Your demise cannot be far

May the candles on your cake
burn like cities in your wake

May your deeds with sheep and yaks
equal those with sword and axe

so you're 29 again
don't tell lies to your good friend

You must marry very soon
baby's due the next full moon

Tho you're turning 29
age to you is like fine wine

This one lesson you must learn
FIRST you pillage, THEN you burn

While you eat your birthday stew
We will sack a town for you

People starving on the earth,
Go ahead, eat your dessert,

Happy Birthday!

Wow, I never knew the whole song. Awesome!

BTW, I no longer have your landline number, nor (apparently) the right email address, so this is the only way I have of getting in touch...just wanted to let you know that the regular milk delivery will recommence this Monday (last Monday, I completely dropped the ball what with closing on the land that day and leaving for Indiana in two days--where we still are--and trying to get all my job stuff ready for when I get back, because I sense I have little time left if I want to hop on the train of my destiny. So, sorry about the mixup and lack of dairy products; the cheese, yogurt and ice cream of two weeks ago are undoubtedly still good, and I'll bring those over at the same time as the new stuff.

That's not exactly the whole song. I deleted most of the verses cause they were really gross and mostly even bleaker than the ones I posted. I would not call closing on the land "Dropping the Ball". I would call it "setting the Ball Whirling through the Vastness of Space".

Hopping on the Train of your Destiny runs a close second to "setting the Ball Whirling Through the Vastness of Space". Or maybe it comes First. In either case,

Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!

uh, what is the train of your destiny, by the way??

Setting the ball whirling....

Wow, that's so cool--makes me feel like the Star Goddess. :-) And you're right, I guess; forgetting the milk is pretty small by comparison. :-) Thanks for restoring my perspective.

And the train of my destiny, which I may or may not catch (it's moving out of the station but not very quickly yet, and I can probably make it if I drop all my baggage and there's somebody on board willing to grab my hand and pull me on) is working for John Kerry on the Hill. I've known that for a while, but I was afraid to try--couldn't believe that I could hang in the Halls of Power. Belief is a dangerous thing...I'm uncomfortably reminded of that Charles de Lint story where the girl didn't believe in magic and so the bird of magic fluttering inside her heart came out of her chest and left. I hope I've pulled my head out of my ass in time; I don't want anything coming out of my chest. Well, all I can do is chase the train.

Well, make some phone calls, send some emails, show them your website, provide your volunteer portfolio, and express your dedication to restoring the republic and protecting the environment through land trusts. I don't know how they could possibly say no...

If that ice cream is still good, I have a spoon with my name on it which is ready and waiting...

It is still good, and I will be at your house with it day after tomorrow...when would be a good time for me to come by?
